Reporting directly to the Financial Controller the Senior Payroll Administrator will oversee payroll processing for over 300 employees. With attention to detail and accuracy the Senior Payroll Administrator will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled Finance team within our Ultra Maritime Canada line of business.
Nationality Requirements
Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with ADP software and upload electronic timesheets from ERP system to support payroll of 300 plus employees.
  • Maintain payroll records including personnel records, deductions, increases, and withholding information.
  • Process payroll deductions and payment for RRSP, TFSA, and other benefits to external agencies.
  • Analyze and audit payroll transactions and ensure accuracy of processing.
  • Work closely with human resources on change of status for employees and update the ERP system.
  • Review employee attendance records including vacation, leave, overtime, and flex time.
  • Process payroll journal entries and ensure accuracy.
  • Work closely with the accounting team performing GL account reconciliations and various other month end duties.
  • Process employee expense claims and allowances.
  • Prepare compliance reporting as necessary.
  • Any other duties as required by the company.
Required Skills:
  • Candidate must be capable of acquiring a NATO Secret security clearance
  • 3 Years payroll experience and working with collective agreements would be a plus.
  • Degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Payroll certification PCP or equivalent.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiar with Microsoft products.
  • Familiarity with ERP accounting systems.
