About the role This position is the primary support for recruitment across Eastern Canada in support of the talent acquisition and operational needs of business units. The position also supports administrative functions, employee relations and employee communications as a member of the Human Resources team. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for full cycle recruitment: Works with the business unit and HR leaders to develop job descriptions and postings for job boards and internal websites; Conducts job searches to meet requirements of positions as needed; Acts as a key point of contact for potential employees presenting a positive and engaging employee experience to candidates; Develops and updates interview guides for positions, keeping in mind skills, competencies and ALS culture; Screens resumes, conducts telephone pre-screening, and assists with final selection; Coordinates interviews with hiring managers; Assists with referrals and reference checks; Promotes career opportunities through job fairs, partnerships, schools, communities, and resource groups; Prepares offer letters and makes offers to candidates; Distributes, tracks and files new hire onboarding documents; Adheres to the policies, procedures and standards relating to recruitment ensuring consistency within ALS; Supports Senior HR Generalists and HR Managers in the development and execution of annual workforce plans as they relate to seasonal and ongoing talent requirements; Conducts new hire orientation program in conjunction with business leaders and regional HR teams; Supports ongoing employee engagement activities to drive retention of current talent; Responds to and complete requests for information from outside sources (including reference checks, personnel file requests, wage information, etc.); Maintains and updates employee files; Ensures Recruitment and Onboarding forms, policies, manuals etc. are up-to-date; Assists in organizing internal employee communications and HR intranet content; May assist with other Human Resources projects; Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures; Other duties as assigned. About you: Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal; Strong customer service focus, interpersonal and organizational abilities; Demonstrated judgement, creativity, integrity and ability to problem solve; Skilled working with a variety of social media applications; Ability to maintain confidentiality; Fluency in French is a strong asset; Advanced computer skills including M365; Ability to effectively handle escalations and time critical issues. Required Qualifications: Completion of a diploma or university degree or equivalent; Designation in Human Resources (CPHR) or Recruitment preferred; Minimum of 2 years HR or talent acquisition experience; Previous customer service or office administration experience an asset. Physical Demands: Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities; Ability to use and view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day; Ability to communicate via telephone and e-mail without assistance.
