Job Description
Toromont Cat is looking for a Warehouse & Yard Attendant to join our team! The Warehouse & Yard Attendant plays a key role in actively participating in the support of the operations through various responsibilities and demonstrating workplace safety, environmentally sound and healthy behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives.

In a typical day, YOU will:
- Pick up products to assemble orders for various customers, while meeting established productivity, efficiency and accuracy standards
- Receive and process returned parts in a timely and accurate manner
- Act on all transfers and returns core items in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate shipping, receiving
- Prepare new units for customer delivery, ensuring equipment leave the yard in safe and good working condition (includes cab cleaning, pressure washing, sanitation, etc.)
- Proceed with the loading and unloading of equipment and products according to transport regulations using safe standards
- Assist in the inventory control of equipment and attachments, including daily yard inventory counts and providing updates on shipped and received equipment
- Proactively clean and maximize areas of shelving and loading docks.
- Ensure yard security are maintained
- Organize, track and file documentation and update with digital pictures for all equipment entering and leaving the yard
- Perform all related tasks
- Perform general sanitation tasks
Must-haves for this role:
- Post Secondary Education and 2 years experience in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift loads up to 40 lbs
- Technical aptitude; knowledge of CAT systems; experience with CAT parts operations or similar systems; knowledge of transport-regulations would be assets
