Position: Sr. Business Analyst

Location: Fredericton, NB (Remote/Onsite 50%)

Duration: 240 days contract with possibility of 2-year extension.

Mandatory Requirements:

A University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a similar discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in an Information Technology environment, including work such as: leading and facilitating requirements gathering, use case analysis, workflows, detailed design activities, system configuration, writing test plans and test cases, and developing documentation and training materials.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Must be available a minimum of 50% of time for on-site work in Fredericton, NB.
Must be able to acquire a Government of Canada Security clearance (Secret Level I or higher).
Individuals must have lived in Canada for a sufficient period to enable appropriate inquiries, verifications, and assessments to be conducted. Depending on status, this may range from 5 to 10 years. Forms will be provided by the Customer upon hire.

Requirements

Scored Requirements:

Possession of a recognized professional business analysis certification such as PMI-PBA, IIBA-CBAP. Describe certifications achieved, and dates completed.
8 Years plus (+) of demonstrated experience at a senior level, facilitating and leading workshops with complex stakeholder groups, facilitating consensus amongst participants, resulting in clear and concise business requirements Include in the response:

stakeholders (business owner, executive level (Directors, VPs) engaged to complete project tasks.
what types of communications or interactions you have had.
types of deliverables you generated from the communications or interactions
approach to information seeking including but not limited to asking questions, investigation, digging deeper and doing research.

8Years plus (+) of demonstrated experience producing business analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, user stories, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, support models, UAT plans and test cases).
5 Years plus (+) of demonstrated experience as a senior business analyst delivering large-scale project (multi-year, 5+ million dollar) and programs with complex scope and stakeholder groups.
1+ year of demonstrated experience with projects and operations work related to public safety. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the 9-1-1 and Emergency Services domains in a Canadian context.
Demonstrated experience performing senior-level business analysis work through the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC) on at least two distinct projects (Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation, Test, Deployment, and Maintenance). Describe how experience in these competency areas have been achieved including scope and size of the reference experience.
2+ Years of demonstrated experience working within projects involving personal or confidential data.
