Job Description: Riverstrong is looking for a driven Sr Information Technology Consultant with the grit and energy to help us grow in a start-up MSP environment. The ideal candidate will possess well-rounded technical proficiency, including systems, networking, security, and cloud. And be able to consult on various technologies while ensuring excellence is delivered throughout the customer engagement and IT solution implementation lifecycle. You will help develop standards and processes and work toward increasing efficiencies in service delivery. You will look for ways to improve their technology while working with existing customers and collaborate with your team to develop those improvements into product and service sales opportunities. You have IT Managed Services Provider experience, including working on a service desk and engineering technology solutions, with a record of happy customers and successful implementations. Design, develop, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain small-to-mid-size business IT stacks. Develop standards for technology, documentation, knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, best practices, delivery processes, templates, protocols, and training assets. Support multiple customers via ticketing system as a Managed Service Provider IT consultant. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members by helping them achieve career goals. Configure, monitor, backup, secure, and maintain routers, switches, DNS servers, and other network devices. Build, troubleshoot, migrate, and maintain physical or virtual server infrastructures hosted on-prem or cloud with Active Directory domains. Take and resolve technical escalations from the Support and Engineering Teams Architecture, engineering, implementation, and troubleshooting of networks, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, etc., and infrastructure technologies such as Active Directory, servers, VM, AWS, Azure, Windows OS, Data Center, SaaS platforms, etc. Take ownership of IT projects and work with the project team to deliver the scope of infrastructure SOWs. Ensure redundancy, availability, and security of networks or server infrastructure from vulnerabilities. Keep current on the latest technologies innovations and determine the best investments for the business and our clients Create a positive experience for our customers and staff in all engagements What you’ll do: The path to success in this role will include a passion for helping people in need, the ability to multitask, collaborate, work with a team, attention to detail, and technical competencies as an IT SME. You will define the best practice processes and research and develop the next-generation tools to achieve efficiency while making our lives easier. You will work on many client projects, delivering IT solutions across various technologies and infrastructures. Our ideal candidate knows how to collaborate on large-scale projects and can also complete assigned tasks independently. But mostly, we like to have fun while delivering exceptional services for our clients. Provide exceptional customer service, excellent remote presence, and ability to deal with all levels of users in a professional manner Be friendly and able to smile a lot while working in challenging situations Lead and follow others in resolving customer requirements by providing technical solutions or support to junior family members Establish credibility and communicate effectively with executives of all levels with fluency in verbal and written communication skills Problem-solving and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical end-users Be a team player with a strong work ethic, operating with a sense of urgency and understanding Travel as required by client projects or up to 30%. Excel in the fail-fast and continuous improvement methodologies 5+ years of experience in IT, security or network systems, server management support, or network administrator positions preferred Advanced experience in the following: Network architecture, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, APs, Network Assessment Tools, Wireshark, Nmap, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Active Directory, M365, and Azure AD DS environments Advanced experience with Windows Server, virtualization, AWS, SaaS/Cloud platforms, CRM, perimeter security, vulnerability tests, and protocols Advanced experience of Google Workspace, O365, Mac/IOS, Android, Windows desktop OS, or any typical end-user technologies IT industry-specific credentials/designations a plus (Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Amazon, VMware, CISCO, ITIL, etc.) Datto Autotask and Datto RMM experience highly preferred Experience with ITIL, incident management, and problem management Ability to utilize multiple resources to determine root causes and resolutions of technology problems and incidents Additional certifications are preferred, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), CompTIA Network+ Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer What we can offer you: Competitive salary Full-time WFH Unlimited FTO Paid major holidays Healthcare, dental, vision coverage 401k Don’t wait; start growing your career with Riverstrong today!
