Job Description
Perform junior level site acquisition and planning coordination for new cell site builds and site modifications. Work with the Site Acquisition Manager on acquiring infrastructure locations. Prepare site leases and associated documents. Work with the Senior Planning and Permitting Specialist to undertake planning and government relations tasks. Prepare documents for public consultation in relation to the processing of tower applications. Coordinate application of building and development permits related to tower builds and modifications. Monitor progress of public consultations and relevant applications and facilitate inquiries to appropriate parties in relations to status of projects. Interact with members of the public and local government in relation to the tower siting process.
Responsibilities
- Assist Site Acquisition Manager with land acquisitions.
- Serve as a secondary contact for public inquiries around tower consultations and builds.
- For new-build projects, assist with public consultation process.
- Liaise with local stakeholders regarding tower consultations (municipal government)
- Creation of maps and documents related to tower consultation process.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary team, including RF Engineering, Construction Management, and Engineering.
- Attend public information sessions and local government meetings as related to tower consultations.
- Interact with RF Engineering and construction to ensure compliance with all client, jurisdictional, governmental, and industry requirements.
- Produce accurate project forecasting and reporting to the Project Manager as required.
- Attend status meetings and present details around ongoing public consultations.
- Knowledge of local Land Use and permitting processes considered an asset
Requirements
- Relevant Undergraduate university degree or college diploma and some experience in a planning related role.
- 1-2 years of experience in planning related role considered an asset.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and independently, multi-task, work closely as a member of a project team, meet stringent deadlines, and achieve project goals.
- Be detail-oriented and possess strong follow-through skills.
- Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Required travel for meetings and site visits (valid and unrestricted driver’s license required).
- Maintain confidentiality of clients.
- Bilingual language skills (French) will be considered an asset
