D U T I E S The Administrative Assistant performs a wide-range of responsibilities ensuring effective and efficient management support and assistance. The incumbent provides administrative support to the Director Ancillary Services, Ancillary Service and Procurement teams and develops collaborative relationships ensuring support is delivered in a proactive and timely manner. Acting as the Director Ancillary Service's initial contact for issues related to operations and administration for the Director Ancillary Services portfolio, the incumbent interacts on a daily basis with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and responds to issues of varying complexity. Confidentiality and decorum are required in all aspects of this role. Areas of focus may include Administrative - office and operational support, Meeting & Event planning, Financial and Contract related responsibilites, Human Resource support, and Communication Development - planning, development and execution. R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S Formal education in office or business administration. An equivalent combination of training and experience in administration or business may be considered Several years of administrative experience in business or educational related roles Demonstrated experience building relationships and collaborating with stakeholders (internal and external to the area) Demonstrated work history highligting roles of increasing complexity and responsibility Demonstrated work history highlighting skills related to planning, organizing , undetaking and assessing role related initiatives Demonstrated worked history highlighting time management skills and the ability to effectively prroritize efforts Demonstrated work history highlighting problem solving, decision-making, analytical skills and the ability to deal with issues of varying complexity Demonstrated experience leveraging related office and administrative technologies Demonstrated experience communicating effectively, including strong verbal, written and presentation skills Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement A S S E T S Experience in Post Secondary Administrative role C O N D I T I O N S O F E M P L O Y M E N T Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends This position may be required to work overtime This position may be required to travel May be required to work at various RRC campuses RRC Polytech campuses are located on the lands of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininew, Dakota, and Dené, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
