What is the opportunity?
Within RBC’s Personal & Commercial Canadian Banking Operations (CBO), the Operations Centers are delivering best in class service within all lines of businesses including Business Lending, Personal Lending, Specialized Services, and Transaction Services. Our overarching goal, through employee engagement, is to meet client commitments, improve productivity, and create a superior client experience. The Operations Centers are a great foundation for understanding banking and can be a spring-board to other opportunities elsewhere in CBO and RBC.
You will be placed in one of the above groups.
You will be responsible for processing client transactions within one or more RBC product or service line(s). You will utilize various systems while ensuring quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing requests.
What will you do?
- Support client and internally originated requests in an accurate and timely manner
- Deliver excellent service to our clients every time; focusing on doing what is best for our clients and the organization - making it Simpler, Faster, Better
- Continuous pro-active and agile approach to adapt to change, to process work volumes as measured through established Client Service Commitment timelines
- Exercise due diligence by following operational risk policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
- Take ownership and accountability of client transactions at first point of contact and works to resolve at source, refers to manager where applicable in accordance with established client escalation protocol.
What do you need to succeed?
Required:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with partners across Canada
- Ability to grasp information quickly with high attention to detail- Aptitude for a multi-faceted and complex environment, able to adapt quickly
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills
- Willing to complete some repetitive tasks
- Experience setting stretch goals, not satisfied with the status quo
- Flexibility to work within the Centre hours of business 8am-8pm
Nice to have:
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Previous experience at RBC or with Banking Operations’ systems
