The Opportunity
- The Senior Manager, Human Resources leads the City of Saint John's effort to not only
develop but maintain a high-performance workforce.
- You will be responsible for a broad portfolio that supports the full range of human
resources functions. These include among others: leading administrative staff;
performance management; employee engagement; learning and development; diversity,
equity, and inclusion; and group benefits and employee wellness.
- You will work closely with all municipal departments in the design and implementation of
sound HR strategies, identifying both current and future needs, and persuasively building
support for ideas and initiatives.

What We Offer You
- Salary: $106,283 - $117,328

liaison on a variety of organizational initiatives and projects, often facilitating, leading, or
guiding the team.

What We Need From You
- Question the status quo, explore alternatives, and respond to challenges with creativity
using intuition, experimentation, and fresh perspectives.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in a broad spectrum of
Human Resources management functions.
- Education: The equivalent of four years' post-secondary education in a related discipline.
- Certification: Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation preferred.
- Analytics and Technology: Ability to work with data, optimize technology use, and lead
performance management activities.
The successful applicant will be eligible to work a compressed work week of 4 days (Monday to Thursday) throughout the trial period of the City's recently adopted Compressed Work Week Trial. This schedule is subject to change.
