Scope of work : As a key member of our team, this role offers the opportunity to thrive in an innovative, fast-paced, and dynamic multi-disciplinary engineering environment. Your responsibilities include demonstrating a deep understanding of various engineering disciplines, their interdependencies, methodologies, and terminologies, facilitating clear and concise articulation of technical concepts and project information. Responsibilities : Sound understanding of various engineering discipline work processes, interdependencies, methodologies and terminologies. Able to articulate technical concepts and other project information in a clear, concise way. Strong analytical skills to be proactive in identifying risk and solving problems. Disciplined documentation practices; write technical documentation and reports; work with Documentation Team to ensure most recent information, e.g. as-built drawings, revised technical specifications, are sent to them. Able to make decisions based on sound engineering requirements. This position will require you to be in the field periodically, so you must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, and climb heights, while wearing all required PPE. Occasional travel may be required. Qualifications : Strong Refining experience. P.Eng. designation is required. 8-10+ years of experience of a discipline in engineering experience on sustaining capitals projects in the oil and gas, power and heavy industry sectors. Project Management experience is an asset. Project Engineering experience including multi-discipline co-ordination and trouble shooting. Knowledge of complex design engineering concepts, practices, and procedures; including the interdependencies, methodologies and responsibilities of the varying design engineering disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Piping. CSA, Electrical and Instrumentation). Preference for discipline experience in developing engineering deliverables in FEED and Detailed Design phases. Experience working within an owner’s organization, either within project development/management or operations is an asset. Benefits: Flexible group medical insurance plan.
