We currently have an opportunity for an Operations Supervisor at our Richardson Port Terminal located in North Vancouver, BC. This is an opportunity to work at one of the most successful grain handling facilities in the world, which exports canola and cereal grains to countries along the Pacific Rim. Responsibilities: Responsible for the movement of grain through the terminal facility Supervising staff in a unionized environment Training and developing staff in workplace safety standards, work practices and job tasks Effective leadership of team including development, training, performance monitoring & coaching Liaise with other departments i.e. Maintenance, Logistics, and Quality Assurance etc. Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of operational experience working in an export or inland grain terminal or bulk handling facility Demonstrated attention to workplace safety and facility housekeeping Experience in grain handling processes, or bulk material handling Willingness to work shift work and overtime as required Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills Self-starter with strong work ethic Proficiency in using computers and computer programs Shift work is required, this position works 4 days on 4 days off, 12 hour schedule that rotates from days to graveyards Interested candidates should click the Apply icon to apply online by January 15, 2024.
