A preceptored clinical experience developed in collaboration with the student. Pre or Co requisite NURS 4125 and NURS4185A Bachelor Degree or higher in Nursing and active registration with the Nurses Associate of New Brunswick is required; current CPR-HCP (also accept BLS for Healthcare Providers). Recent relevant clinical experience in acute (medical surgical) nursing is preferred. Previous teaching experience would be considered an asset.The role of the Faculty Liaison serves to support the student and preceptor pairings throughout final preceptorship. The Faculty Liaison is expected to develop a schedule for checking in with the student and preceptor regularly with formal assessment meetings at the midway and final assessment points. The Faculty Liaison will need to be available for various shift coverage as determined by the Faculty Liaison and student/preceptor pairs.Meeting dates will vary within the term and will be developed by incumbent and student preceptor pairings. Coverage time will be calculated to include meetings and time for evaluation/preparation. Total days/hours will vary depending on student/preceptor needs. Number of positions available is dependent upon final class enrolment.
