Government Account/Contract Manager

Dartmouth, NS

Role and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Bilingual Government Account/Contract Manager to join us working out of our Head Office in Dartmouth, NS.


The Government Account/Contract Manager is a highly motivated individual, who will work closely with end customers, Sales, and Sales Operations to help manage Government Accounts, contracts, and orders.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bilingual (English/French) written and spoken - Mandatory, must have
  • Assist with formal RFQ/RFP and proposal preparation
  • Contract Management
  • Act as a guide and strategic partner to customers
  • Champion the health of the customer relationship and success
  • Comfortable reaching out to customers by phone and email.
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Assist with order processing·
  • Draft and distribute memos, forms, and various customer-facing correspondence.
  • Follow the MetOcean Sales Process with daily updates and opportunity tracking in Salesforce
  • Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasting and planning
  • Achieve goals as identified in your personal sales plan


Education:

  • Certificate/Degree in Business Administration


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of related experience in Sales/Account Management/Inside Sales
  • Experience in technical products, preferably working with Government Accounts
  • 1-2 years of related experience in RFP/RFQ Proposal preparation
  • Strong business acumen
  • Results-oriented
  • Professional demeanor
  • Proactive, self-starter by nature
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to obtain CANADA and NATO security clearance


Technical and Non-Technical Skills


  • Has the aptitude to understand the full breadth of the company’s products and services
  • Is extremely self-sufficient and can deliver necessary work with minimal supervision.
  • Has a strong sense of customer service.
  • Demonstrates excellent skills in working as part of a team.
