A number of faculty have received numerous teaching awards at the faculty and university levels, as well as from professional societies. The successful candidate will play a leading role in teaching undergraduate courses in Electrical, Computer, and Software engineering.Teaching endeavours are supported in part by a dedicated and outstanding Teaching and Learning Services unit and the Enhancing Learning and Teaching in Engineering Initiative. The successful candidate will be expected to be an active member in both communities. Moreover, the successful candidate will be encouraged to participate in the scholarship of teaching and learning.The expected start date is January 1, 2024. The initial appointment is for one year with a two-year renewal option upon performance review.Candidates should have or soon expect a Ph.D. in engineering, education, or related field and a first degree in electrical, computer, or software engineering. Evidence of outstanding teaching achievements, or teaching potential, is indispensable. Preferred qualifications include dedication to an environment that supports diversity of population and perspectives; as our students come from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and backgrounds, we invite candidates to address in their application their ability to teach, train, and mentor in this context.
