Dispatch Manager (Hybrid Opportunity)

Job Description
As a Dispatch Manager you will be responsible for the overall day to day performance of our business. Your goal will be to provide guidance to the service and distribution managers to ensure resources are properly allocated and demand is met. Your success will depend on your responsibility to generate, coordinate, and execute all deliveries, loadbuilding and service work.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensures alignment of team and individual goals, focusing on change and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve business objectives
  • Provides clear direction and leadership for the business by establishing and regularly communicating performance expectations and results with multiple teams throughout the organization, and takes appropriate actions to address issues as they arise
  • Utilizes and develops the forecast model to accurately plan work, plan hours required and execute on plan in order to minimize cost, maximize revenue and ensure customer demand is met.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the dispatch team to develop a daily, weekly and monthly demand plan to optimize resources, improve operations and provide direction to the Operations/Service Managers to align objectives.
  • Holds individuals accountable for their commitments, job performance and behaviors by regularly providing timely, specific and constructive feedback
  • Responsible for development and management of assigned territory, daily performance goals, resource allocations and financial targets
  • Applies creative approaches to addressing needs to achieve win-win solutions
  • Provides annual performance reviews, and providing leadership and guidance.
  • Provide leadership to Dispatch team to support the safety of the Dispatch Team, Drivers, Technicians and Customers
  • Uutilizing Service Technicians, Drivers and Trucks by coordinating day-to-day interactions with Coordinator ??? Distribution/Service on building loads and dispatcher efficiency and affectivity.

Your Skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid, multi-tasking environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills and the ability to form trusted relationships.
  • An ability to problem-solve and quickly pivot on a regular basis.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; must be able to quickly pivot when necessary.

Your Experience

  • Post-secondary or bachelor?۪s degree in business administration, or other relevant degree
  • 5+ years of experience in similar role
