Are you interested in joining an interdisciplinary cancer rehabilitation team made up of physiotherapists, massage therapists, kinesiologists, and psychotherapists? Breast Rehab has been a leading cancer rehabilitation clinic in Ottawa for over nineteen years and has strong liaisons with primary physicians, oncologists, surgeons, and community groups. Our mission is to provide holistic treatment by assisting orthopaedic, oncology, breast reconstruction, and lymphedema patients in regaining optimal health. We are looking to expand our team and our offerings to our patients by adding a Registered Dietician to the crew! If you are looking for independent contract work a few days a week and have a keen interest and understanding of women's health (menopause, peri-menopause, etc.) and cancer nutrition (primarily breast cancer) we want to hear from you! Duties: - Assess patients' nutritional needs and develop personalized nutritional plans - Provide nutrition counselling and education to individuals - Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care as needed - Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition - Maintain accurate and confidential patient records Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field - Registered Dietitian (RD) certification and in good standing with college - Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and guidelines as pertains to women's health and cancer care (continuing education in either of these fields considered a strong asset) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients - Proficiency in computer operation and electronic medical records Benefits: - Competitive fee for service split - Flexible scheduling based on clinician and patient needs - Ability to work both in person, in a dedicated consultation room that is fully furnished, and virtually, using provided telehealth video software (meets all privacy standards) - Full time front desk staff that is eager to fill your schedule - The ability to work alongside six other medical professionals to generate internal referrals and ongoing team support To apply for this position, please submit your resume detailing your relevant experience and qualifications.
