Client Service Representative

Job Description

We are looking for two individuals to join our team. These roles are available in the following locations: Windsor, ON, Toronto, ON, London, ON, Calgary, AB, Vancouver, BC, Halifax, NS.


In 1957, our founder, pharmacist William Wilkinson, witnessed a mother sacrifice her health by forgoing her own medicine to ensure she could afford a prescription for her sick daughter. He knew there had to be a better way! He introduced North America’s first prepaid drug plan, and Green Shield was born as a not-for-profit health benefits provider that re-invested its earnings to support better health for all Canadians.


Today, we follow in the footsteps of our founder as we continue our pursuit of a better way. No longer just a traditional health and dental benefits provider, GreenShield is now the first integrated health services organization in Canada that is both a payer (offering insurance, administering benefits, and paying claims) and a provider (offering medical, mental health, and pharmacy services).

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

  • Working with our Business Development Managers, Account Managers and our internal partners and be the voice of GS to our clients and plan advisors.
  • Speak regularly with plan administrators and plan advisors in answering questions and problem solving their issues.
  • Educate and empower clients and plan advisors on GS processes and tools such as plan administration online.
  • Play a key role in implementing new clients or plan amendments and facilitating unique enrolment and benefit administration requirements.
  • Required to attend client meetings including new group implementations, employee meetings, problem solving sessions, and general relationship building events.
  • Assist Business Development Managers and Account Managers with plan advisor meetings, including the sharing of GS’s capabilities and our value proposition, as well as participate in finalist presentations.
  • Our clients and Business Development Managers and Account Managers will rely on you to pull quality information out of our internal tools by running various reports.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits and / or related industries.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • Understanding of benefit administration issues, claims processes, and group contracts / booklets.
  • A passion for our customers and their plan members, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting GSC in various settings.
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions and do so with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and be self-reliant, while having a focus first and foremost on the success of the team.
  • Have a positive attitude, and enjoy learning from and teaching clients, internal partners, and teammates.
  • Be a member of a highly effective TEAM.
  • Committed, professional, and take ownership & accountability.
  • Strive to achieve excellence and have fun.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.
