Security Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for an individual who should have a good understanding of network technology and electronics. Has effective Time management skills, Self-motivated, energetic and passionate about solving problems and assisting others in solving technical issues with strong customer service skills Job Duties- Installation (including pre-wiring, installing, configuring, programming, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting) and maintenance of security systems including CCTV (IP & Analog). Install, service, and program wireless Alarm systems in residence or commercial setting Mount and secure keypad panels, door and window contacts, etc. Drill holes for wiring video cameras(Outdoor/Indoor Camera, Smart Doorbell) and automation devices. Provide basic customer training for proper system usage Ensure customer expectations, through inquiries and requests, are met and exceeded with a high-level of service Communicate accurate details regarding the progress of installation and applicable charges, as well as any issues that may arise, to customers Provide advice and training to technical and non-technical users in response to identified difficulties. Complete detailed, accurate paperwork and send a Log at the end of the day and report to the supervisor Provide accurate information on all job statuses; communicating any delays to management and dispatch Follow all safety policies and initiatives and bring forth any recommendations; attend safety meetings as required Terminate network cabling, Low Voltage wiring, and configure hardware and networking equipment following the provided guidelines. Familiar with wired/wireless alarm systems, Access Control, Security Cameras/CCTV Networks Maintain a log of all repairs and service performed, including an inventory of failed and damaged products. Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions, and to provide feedback for continuous improvement efforts. Cabling (Cat5/6/Coax) (Running and Terminating) Working at heights training Requirements: Previous Experience of Installations will be an asset. Candidate must have own Vehicle and tools. Candidate must be able to work independently and report to the Director on a daily basis Required to have a Canadian Driver's license and provide a clear driving abstract Job Types: Full-time, Casual, Freelance Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 per week Benefits: Casual dress Flexible schedule Schedule: Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Experience: alarm technician: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person
