Position Overview

The successful applicant will assume a primary role in the technical development of the BlueNode, a division of Everstream Analytics, global supply chain data enrichment SaaS product - BNSuite. They will report directly to the Director of Operations with a dotted line reporting structure to the Director of Solutions Engineering.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to the technical team on all matters pertaining to product development. Is considered the ???go-to?۝ expert for any questions around application data architecture and design patterns.
• Ownership and active participation in product code reviews for all team members
• Sets and maintains the standard around coding practices for the team
• Code management using Git to ensure currency, completeness, and high availability to all team members at any moment
• Co-develop, integrate, debug, refactor, and maintain the code base, databases, software containers and all other elements of the system architecture
• Actively collaborate with other technical staff in the development of the software
• Optimize system architecture based on performance and reliability testing of data, process, and network models through empirical evidence
• Support the development, installation, integration, maintenance, and documentation of BNSuite software in development, staging, and production environment
• Adopt a mindset that is adaptable to the rapidly changing needs of a startup organization

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• A Bachelor?۪s degree in Computer Science
• 5+ years of industry software engineering and/or computer programming experience
• Demonstrable IT team leadership capabilities and established SCRUM practices
• Experience using the Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Experience working with the Git
• A high level of proficiency in Python, API, and microservice development
• Proficiency in relational and other databases
• Experience using and deploying Docker containers and virtual machines (VMs)
• Canadian Citizenship or the authorization to work in Canada
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Data science tools such as Anaconda, Jupyter Notebooks, and other relevant Python packages
• Data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI, D3.js, Tableau, matplot, pyplot
• Testing or QA experience
• Domain knowledge in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
• A Master?۪s or Doctoral degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
