Sound judgment will be required to understand complex business use cases, design appropriate solutions, and develop the underlying implementation.Familiarity and hands-on experience with profiling, code efficiency, and building software via continuous integration and delivery pipeline.Ensuring the operating efficiency of existing application systems.Maintaining records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.Conducting analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systemsQualificationsTechnical Requirements and Must haves:Java 8+ EEJBoss application serverEJBQuartzHibernate/JPAApache POIJAXB, JAXWS, JAXRSAntANSI SQLBashPythonGitGitlab CI/CDEclipseLinuxMavenOracle 19cHands-on experience with building secure, scalable, performant, and highly available APIs. API Development language and frameworks.Hands-on experience troubleshooting and understanding legacy code to handle issues and implement enhancementsFamiliarity with container concepts, architecture, tools and frameworks.Understanding and experience with one commercial cloud solution such as AWS (preferred) and GCP.Knowledge and experience with DevOps/CICD pipelines and tools such as JIRA, Github, Jenkins, UCD Agile methodology such as Scrum, SAFe and Kanban.Highly organized, detail-oriented and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with aggressive timelinesAbility to work with change/ambiguity, in a competitive environment where priorities change frequentlyProven problem solving ability with complex, technical and abstract conceptsA team player with the confidence to challenge and escalate when necessaryPrevious experience in the telecommunication industry and Government of Canada contracts are an assetGovernment of Canada, Secret level clearance is requiredSummaryDo you have this experience?
