We are currently seeking a motivated Delivery Driver who is looking to build a successful career in our fast growing company by delivering equipment in a safe, timely, efficient, and courteous manner.

This position is an entry level position and is considered the company’s front line of contact with the customer. Frequently interacting with our customers, you will serve as a company ambassador and will provide exceptional customer service. And since we're local, you'll be home every night.

The role and responsibilities:

• Must be able to drive a company 1500-3500 series pickup truck towing a trailer with equipment (<10,000 lbs/4500 kg).
• Load/Unload construction equipment and supplies such as mini excavators, mini backhoes, skid-steers, forklifts, scissor lifts, scaffolding, plate tampers, generators, etc... on and off the delivery truck and trailer and customers vehicles.

• Deliver and Pickup equipment from customer site locations in town.

• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment.

• Abide by all traffic rules and regulations while operating company vehicles.

• Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections

• Perform pre-delivery/return equipment inspections for safe operations, visible damages, or to identify any necessary repairs needed.

• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.

• Provide excellent customer service.

• Interact with customers on site to get document signatures.

• Demonstrate, explain and troubleshoot proper equipment use.
• Clean and perform minor repairs/maintenance to rental equipment
• Assist in maintaining and organizing the shop and yard

• Work indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
• Maintain a clean & safe workplace

• Other incidental or similar duties which may be required from day to day.

The ideal candidate would possess the following:

• Previous equipment rental industry or other related experience would be an asset (but not required).
• Self-motivation "people person".
• A drive to succeed and go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• High level of accountability, time management and willingness to learn.
