We are professional, supportive, creative, and our goal is to provide impactful and transformative academic learning support to kindergarten through grade 12 learners. Job Description We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Learning Strategists to provide engaging and effective academic support in the form of online tutoring to students ranging from Kindergarten through Grade 12. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for education, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students. This is a remote position that offers flexible scheduling to accommodate both tutor and student availability. Responsibilities: Conduct one-on-one or small group online tutoring sessions with students from various grade levels (Kindergarten through Grade 12). Create and implement personalized lesson plans and learning strategies to address individual student needs and goals. Assist students with homework, assignments, and test preparation across a range of subjects, including but not limited to Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts, and/or Social Studies. Provide clear explanations of concepts, offer examples, and guide students through problem-solving processes. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation. Utilize digital tools, interactive resources, and educational platforms to enhance the online learning experience. Monitor student progress, assess their strengths and areas of improvement, and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student performance and to address any concerns through post-session learning reports. Help students develop effective study skills, time management techniques, and organizational strategies. Stay up-to-date with current curriculum standards and educational trends to ensure accurate and relevant instruction. Collaborate with other tutors or educators to share best practices and resources. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, a relevant subject area, or a related field. Proven experience as a tutor, teacher, or educator, preferably in a remote or online setting. Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken. Proficiency in using online teaching platforms, video conferencing tools, and interactive learning technologies. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish a rapport with students of all ages. Patience, empathy, and the capacity to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles. Demonstrated expertise in the subject(s) being taught (i.e. Math, Science, Reading, Writing), with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner. Reliable internet connection, a quiet and well-lit teaching environment, and appropriate technological equipment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple students and subjects effectively. Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate varying time zones and student availability. Prior experience working with Kindergarten through Grade 12 students is highly desirable. Knowledge of current curriculum standards and educational methodologies is a plus.
