Reporting to the Sr. Analyst and Deputy Registrar of Gaming and Regulatory Enforcement, the Technical Analyst will be responsible to ensure compliance with the
Gaming Control Act and regulations including operational and technical standards applicable to casinos, the use of gaming devices, equipment and onlinegaming systems.
What you will do: The successful candidate will be responsible to:
- Conduct site investigations and review applicable gaming specifications for online and land-based casino operations.
- Provide advice and direction on procedures, policies and security issues as well as provide technical support services in matters relating to gaming equipment and their related technologies.
- Ensure the mechanical and digital integrity of all applicable gaming equipment across the various gaming platforms being regulated by the department.
- Perform tests, measurements and random inspections of gaming machines and other gaming devices, accessories and communication systems which are submitted for approval for use in the Province of NB
- Review, inspect, process and maintain all technical information related to current gaming equipment and platforms, as well any new advances in gaming technology.
- Prepare and submit written reports on findings, examinations and the reliability of tests performed on gaming equipment and platforms.
- Perform network vulnerability and penetration tests on approved gaming suppliers' platforms.

Need To Have (essential Skills And Qualifications)
- Diploma in Electronics Technology or a related field and
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience ingamingtesting and certification
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required, please state your language capability

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirement(s) is also required:
- Travel within the Province and possession of a valid driver's license
- Working on weekends, shift work, and/or variable hours.
Prior to appointment, the successful candidate will be required to pass a Criminal Record Check and complete a Gaming Control Branch personnel disclosure form.
Nice To Have (asset Qualifications)
- Preference may be given to candidates that have worked in and with land-based casino environments, electronic charitable gaming environments and online casino environments
- Experience with cyber risk assessments and management
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
Wage
$2,159 - $2,719 biweekly - Technical Inspection II
