Fast growing eCommerce company located in Mississauga looking for a talented team member to help with systems design, development, maintenance, and upgrading our current technological systems and processes to tackle problems in data, analysis, and projections. *This role is best suited for someone looking for part time/casual role for experience as they pursue a related field of study in software development, IT, computer science* Education: Bachelor's degree or pursuing a undergraduate program in technological /related field i.e computer science, IT, and software development. Job Duty: Analyze current processes built around Microsoft excel and python and look for areas of improvement, implement the changes and maintain the system Discuss requirements with team members as to what is needed for the company's systems and implement the same Suggest changes to the processes/systems and implement the changes needed to improve the same About you: Enjoy and are passionate about problem solving, challenging technological problems and working to implement the solution Experience in Microsoft excel, python and Java. Familiarity/experience with other languages is a strong and preferred asset Responsibilities: - Develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code - Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing systems - Perform code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards - Create technical documentation for reference and reporting Experience: - Strong experience in software development, particularly in system programming - Proficiency in .NET framework and related technologies - Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN and GitHub - Knowledge of APIs and their integration into software applications - Experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL, and other relevant programming languages - Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices - Prior experience in web development is a plus Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience) - Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Freelance, Apprenticeship, Internship / Co-op Expected hours: No more than 20 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Work from home Flexible Language Requirement: French not required Schedule: Day shift Evening shift Monday to Friday On call Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: Python: 2 years (required) JavaScript: 2 years (required) Software development: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person
