This position will be hybrid/remote, reporting to our Corporate Head Office on 6080 Young Street, Halifax, NS. As part of the IT group, the System Administrator will be responsible for a wide variety of activities relating to the management of IT systems and products/applications which help deliver Eastlink’s solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day support of diverse and highly available Windows environments providing Eastlink internal and external services
- Deploying new Windows Server infrastructure to support business initiatives
- Work with network and hardware teams to troubleshoot, provide recommendations, and proactively monitor systems
- Strong security focus applying best practices, patching, and monitoring security vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with team members to develop automation and deployment process strategies
- Participate in the design of new solutions and provide input on improvements and management of the existing infrastructure
- Participate in Agile sprints as required

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education focused in Computer Science, Data Communications/Networking, Information Technology or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of:
- Windows system management and virtual technologies
- Office 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
- Office 365 migrations
- Azure
- Active Directory/LDAP/SSO
- PowerShell (or other scripting for automation)
- Mobile Device Management (ABM / Knox / Intune)
- Backup/Recovery Technologies
Knowledge Of The Following Considered An Asset
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both oral and written
- Proven track record of effectively coordinating multiple projects
- Willingness to provide on-call support
