Having recently joined the global Bentley Systems family, we are experiencing an exciting period of growth and are looking for people who follow their passion, and want to make an impact.As a Senior Software Developer within our Toronto Development Team, you will work researching, designing, and developing our suite of software applications (desktop, enterprise, cloud[RS1] ). You will leverage your creative problem-solving and technological skills to play an integral part in advancing our user experiences, future application architecture, coding standards, and best practices. You will also have the opportunity to mentor more junior members of the team, sharing your experience and knowledge. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in growing their career. This role requires you to be based out of Ontario and offers the opportunity to work from home for some days each week. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Contribute to technical decisions affecting the development of software productsDevelop and maintain software for various projects in a timely manner, applying commercial computer programming skillsProvide polished, creative and professional products Contribute as a member of an Agile team, utilizing Agile development processes to ensure efficiency while maintaining product suitability and qualityDaily debugging, code maintenance, code review, testing for robustness and problem solvingEscalated support may require your assistance with analysis, interpretation and resolution of customer concernsCreate technical documentation as requiredIn order to be successful in this role, you should have:University degree in Computer Science and/or compelling and extensive experience in real-world applicationsMinimum 5 years demonstrated development experience in a Windows environment utilizing C#, .NET FrameworkExperience with cloud technologies (Azure experience will be an asset)Experience with Python, React/Redux, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, HTTP, JSON, JQuery, JavaScript, REST, SaaS, ASP.NET Web APIConfident oral and written communication skills in EnglishTeam-oriented attitude and good conflict management skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and build sustainable working relationshipsAbility to manage your own workload effectively and to work efficiently alongside team membersBalanced and informed approach to problem solvingAbility to work in a dynamic environmentA bonus if you have :Programming experience utilizing C++Experience utilizing OpenGL or similar for 3D graphic rendering and computingExperience utilizing Git, GitHubExperience with Atlassian JIRA, ConfluenceExperience with Build tools or Continuous Integration toolsGeoscience/science/mathematics interest and/or experienceResearch shows that some individuals, particularly women and underrepresented groups, are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single criterion.
