JOB SUMMARY
- We are seeking an Experienced, Trustable and Bilingual Property Manager to join our team.
- The chosen individual will be working from home and expected to travel within Moncton and surrounding areas in 1-hour radius. You also must be able to work flexible hours which will include some evenings/weekends and holidays due to the nature of the profession.
P.S. Expect to spend more time on the road than at home, and you will have an assistant taking care of all your administrative tasks!!
RESPONSABILITIES
- Manage a diverse portfolio of long-term rental properties and vacation rentals (single-family houses and multi-units apartments)
- Maintain strong relationships with tenants, addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring high levels of tenant satisfaction.
- Collaborate with our Maintenance supervisor to oversee maintenance, repair and renovations activities, including obtaining quotes, hiring contractors, and ensuring work is completed to satisfaction.
- Conduct property showings, do move-out/move-in inspections, and serve notices to tenants.
- Conduct property inspections, ensuring that common areas are well-maintained, clean, and meet quality standard safety regulations, and to ensure compliance with safety regulations and lease agreements.
- Collaborate with our administrative support for tenant screening, leasing, and rent collection processes, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements. Enforce lease terms and policies.
- Maintain accurate paper records of all property-related activities and transactions, including but not limited to tenant files, lease agreements, maintenance requests, and financial documentation.
- Stay updated on relevant industry trends, laws, and regulations, and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in property management.
- Fluent in both English and French.
- In-depth knowledge of property management principles, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act, Landlord and Tenant Act, property management principles and leasing practices.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, property owners and team members.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in property management software (preferably Buildium) and other relevant technologies.
- Valid driver's license.
- Vehicle for transportation.
