Seasonal Baker/Pastry Cook – Fishing CampsJ.D. Irving, Limited is seeking a qualified Baker/Pastry Cook at one of our remote fishing camps in Northwestern NB. Ideal candidates would live close to Kedgwick or in the Campbellton/Dalhousie areas. The ideal candidate would stay at the camp through the week. The baker/pastry cook will manage an efficient kitchen, order supplies, and ensure our guests have access to quality, delicious, baked goods. Baking breads and homemade pastries such pies daily is a requirement.Our Seasonal Baker/Pastry Cook candidate will prepare breads and sweets from scratch, along with performing light housekeeping activities. Food served is top quality and must uphold high standards of cleanliness and professionalism at all times.What We Offer:· Competitive compensation· Free lodging and meals on site· Minimum of 18 weeks employment· Safety training· Company uniformsQualifications:· Successful completion of a Culinary Arts program from a recognized post-secondary institution is preferred but not required.· Class 5 driver's license.· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.· 10 years of baking/bakery experience, working remotely in camps considered an asset.Key Responsibilities:· Bake daily sweets such as pies, cookies, cakes, and squares.· Bake daily bread products, fresh bread and rolls.· Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards are maintained.· Ensure kitchen and storage areas are clean and organized, at all times.To Apply for this Career Opportunity:Please apply online.We appreciate your interest in our company!
