Project Manager
Job Description
As a Project Manager you will lead the development and execution of small to medium sized capital projects ranging between $50,000 and $5,000,000 across the supply chain. Your responsibilities include preparation of a project execution plan, budget, schedule and funding request. Your success will be ensuring procurement and contracts deliverables are complete and interfacing with construction until completion of project.What We OfferWork Environment – Work in our beautiful home office building with access to a fitness facility, onsite nurse, and a caféHybrid Work Model – Allows for a blend of in-office and work-from-home daysCompetitive Compensation – Including an annual bonus plan, pension plan, and parking Flexible Benefits Plan – in effect from day one and offers three levels of coverage to select from to meet your unique, personal needs.Paid Vacation – Plus an annual option to purchase additional vacationWellness Support – With an annual wellness allowance, paid personal care days and a 24/7 Employee & Family Assistance Program Your ResponsibilitiesResponsible for submitting funding requests for each phase, completing the Project Execution plan, directing the completion of Engineering packages and work orders, ensuring procurement and contracts deliverables are complete and interfacing with construction until completion of project.Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with stakeholders.Wholly responsible for schedule, cost and quality.Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.Draft and submit budget proposals and, recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, presentations and all other necessary project communication.Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problem areas, and devise/enact contingency/mitigation plans.Travel will be a requirement.Your SkillsExcellent leadership and negotiation skills are requiredAbility to build strategic relationships with Business Unit stakeholders.Strong organizational skills with ability to analyze and prioritizeIndependent worker who is focused on results and accomplishing objectives.Your ExperienceBachelor’s degree, technical degree and/or industrial trade.Working towards Project Management Professional designation is an asset.5-10 years technical Refinery or other energy/heavy industry experience working maintenance or Turnaround projects.Irving Oil is committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
