The PTC is a groundbreaking device used for measuring the R-value of low lope roofs with the primary objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by identifying regions of roofs prone to heat and energy loss. In this role, you will lead the product lifecycle from the beta stage through field testing to successful commercialization, all while creating a market presence. Responsibilities: · Cultivate strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and feedback relating to the PTC. · Stay informed about building industry advancements, including current norms and emerging trends · Oversee testing in the field, and in lab settings · Analyze data obtained from testing to make informed conclusions about product functionality · Apply knowledge of thermodynamic concepts to optimize testing procedures and product performance · Contribute innovative ideas to push forward product development · Work collaboratively with the R&D team to implement product improvements · Contribute to the design process using CAD software and other relevant tools Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. · Familiarity with roofing systems is an asset. · Knowledge of thermodynamics, with the ability to apply concepts to testing and product improvement. · Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams. · Problem-solving skills to address challenges in testing and product development. · Utilize 3D printing, in-house machining, and other prototyping techniques effectively to bring designs to life.
