Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Prep Cook on behalf of our client, to prepare and cook a variety of dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment, contributing to the culinary excellence of their establishment. If you have a passion for cooking and the ability to work efficiently under pressure, we'd like to introduce you to this important role in the world of culinary arts.
Experience: Chinese restaurant cooking with woks and strong knife skills are an asset for this position.
Responsibilities include:
- Cutting meats and vegetables
- Preparing and cooking dishes to order
- Using deep fryers
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a fast paced kitchen.
- Experience preparing a variety of Chinese dishes.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Maintain a positive attitude and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and take direction.
- Food safety certification is preferred.
