Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Prep Cook on behalf of our client, to prepare and cook a variety of dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment, contributing to the culinary excellence of their establishment. If you have a passion for cooking and the ability to work efficiently under pressure, we'd like to introduce you to this important role in the world of culinary arts.

Experience: Chinese restaurant cooking with woks and strong knife skills are an asset for this position.

Responsibilities include:

Cutting meats and vegetables
Preparing and cooking dishes to order
Using deep fryers
Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a fast paced kitchen.
Experience preparing a variety of Chinese dishes.
Maintain a clean, organized work area.
Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Maintain a positive attitude and remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and take direction.
Food safety certification is preferred.
