We are looking for an energetic, reliable individual to add to our Pharmacy Team as a Pharmacy Assistant who lives by our company values of Respect, Teamwork, Positive Attitude, and Ability to Change.

Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends if necessary. Position may be required to work between our two locations - Hartland, NB and/or Florenceville-Bristol, NB.

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Assistant provides support to the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties in order to increase the Pharmacist's opportunity to provide optimal patient care. The Pharmacy Assistant is expected to participate in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations required of a team player. They are a key member in the delivery of superior customer service.

In the day-in-the-life of a Pharmacy Assistant, you will provide front line service to patients & customers by receiving prescriptions, performing computer functions such as data entry, patient profile checks, billing etc. as well as filling prescriptions by following strict procedures and Pharmacist supervision. You will also assist the Pharmacist with maintaining inventory of drugs and other supplies as well as maintaining a clean, safe and organized work environment. Confidentiality is a must when working with patient information.

Qualifications

All relevant work and education experience will be considered. Previous Pharmacy experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Comfort working with the public is a must.
