Are you a Technical Lead / Architect Java/J2EE Insurance looking for a new opportunity?Are you looking for a new contract opportunity?We are pleased to offer you a new contract opportunity for you to consider: Technical Lead / Architect Java/J2EEStart: ASAPEstimated length: 12 monthsLocation: North YorkHybrid remote workAdvantagesYou will have an opportunity to work with a leading employer in the local market.ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate design, development, testing and deployment activities, working closely with multiple vendorsLead analysis and evaluation of proposed solutionsImprove business and software operations by coordinating systems analysis and recommending changesReview and validate vendor assessmentsCoordinate capacity planning and performance testingOversee and assist the vendors and project teams in all test phases (system testing, functional testing etc.)Participate in deployment strategy development with the Deployment primesBuild executive presentations and communicate technical aspects of release changes to support teamsOccasional assistance to the production support teams to resolve production issuesQualificationsExperienceRecent experience working as a Technical Manager, Team Lead, Senior Technical BA/BSA or a Senior Solution Architect in a large enterprise IT organization mandatoryBackground in software development, building large-scale production systems – mandatoryPrevious experience working with Java/JEE Application servers, Spring, Spring Boot and/or QuarkusFamiliarity with OpenShift/ Kubernetes, Docker – nice to haveCloud computing – nice to haveKnowledgeFamiliarity with company Ordering systems (OrderMax, OMF, CPQ, MDM, CSIDE) and/or company SystemsFamiliarity with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms is an assetUnderstanding of software architecture patterns and practices – nice to haveGeneral understanding of network concepts, hardware / hosting platforms and virtualization is an assetFamiliarity with IT standards and frameworks (ITIL, ETOM, Zachman, TOGAF etc.)SkillsExcellent communication skillsStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong technical writing skillsProven leadership skillsExcellent ability to formulate ideas and influence vendors at designExcellent ability to articulate technical problems to non-technical audienceAutonomous, tolerance to a fast paced, fast changing environmentStrong team player; ability to facilitate, negotiate and work within a multi-domain team environmentAbility to ramp up quickly on new technologies, languages, frameworks and toolsCreativity and ingenuityBilingualism an assetTraining & EducationBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software / Computer Engineering or similar.SummaryDo you have this experience?
