Reporting to the Vice President, IECR, you will be an integral part of the team, contributing to the support of students and driving graduate employment. You will have the opportunity to lead and manage program and operational activities, fostering innovation and collaboration within the division.As the Manager of Program and Operations Support, you will utilize your expertise in program and project management, operations, and support to ensure the smooth functioning of our division. Acting as a strategic advisor to the Vice President, you will provide oversight and recommendations as it relates to budget management, human resources, special projects and initiatives. Responsibilities• Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.• Support the annual operating and capital budget process, ensuring compliance with college requirements• Provide controller-level management of ongoing financial activities, including budget management, consolidation and developing and implementing financial strategies for the department• Contribute to long-term planning efforts focused on operational excellence.• Lead operational reviews of departments within the division and provide recommendations to the Vice President.• Oversee and manage all contracts, ensuring compliance across the division.• Develop and implement reporting systems and financial planning tools to provide accurate and timely program updates and financial performance reports and support decision making• Manage and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of support services through process improvements and coordination between support and business functions.• Foster and maintain effective relationships with other college departments, collaborating and cooperating on projects and new initiatives; identify issues, propose solutions and collaborate on resolutions• Maintain databases to track vacation days, sick days, and professional development days for managers and support staff.• Support the efficient operation and coordination of activities within the IECR division, aligning them with organizational goals.• Lead and manage strategic projects, to enhance services and supports provided to students and alumni ensuring their successful execution and delivery.• Manage and support staff, volunteers and students as required.• Foster a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous learning within the program and operations team.• Support the IECR division in event planning and other special initiatives as required • Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications/Experience• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Operations Management) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.• Five (5) years of progressive experience in program, operations and events management, with a track record of successful program delivery. Experience in an educational or related setting preferred. • Strong analytical skills and ability to drive continuous improvement.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.• Excellent written and oral communication skills; with experience preparing reports and presentations for executives. • Experience in financial management, including budget development, forecasting, and tracking• Experience in project management and conducting operational reviews.• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners.• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.• Proficiency working with databases, and tracking systems and reporting tools.• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment• Demonstrates strong political acumen with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels in the organizationIf you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for operational excellence and program management, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
