What Your Day Will Look Like · Communicate with customers to discuss, explain, and advise on tax matters; · Review and finalize tax documents for submission to taxation authorities; · Prepare and process various types of tax filings; · Conduct research on tax issues related to planning and compliance; · Assist in tax planning and resolving tax matters for individuals; · Handle correspondence with tax authorities; · Contribute to the development of tax department systems and processes; · Provide guidance and support to our tax analysts; · Monitor daily and weekly targets for the team; and · Assist with general firm management. What you will bring Requirements for this role: · Minimum four years of experience in Canadian and US personal tax; · Ability to lead client engagements and effectively communicate with clients; · US Professional Accounting designation (EA, US CPA, JD, LLM) preferred; · Completion of the In-depth Tax Course preferred; · Thorough understanding of the Canada-US Tax Treaty; · Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; · Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor team members; · Persuasive and confident in responding to challenging questions; · Excellent research and writing skills; · Dedication to professional and client service excellence; · Proficiency in project management, including team leadership, communication, and financial management; and · Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
