What You Will Do
As Maintenance Repairworker I, you will work under the direction of the Bridge Superintendent and be responsible for:
- performing maintenance and repair work in the building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and painting occupations;
- planning, inspecting, organizing, and performing general and preventative building maintenance on the departmental offices, building and material storage units;
- coordinating and assisting trades people and contractors;
- maintaining inventory and the maintenance shop;
- preparing costs estimates.

Essential Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or GED
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience work related experience at the semi-skilled level in the buildings, mechanical, and/or electrical occupations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Possession of a valid New Brunswick Class 5 driver's license
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates experienced working with Building Management systems and/or possession of a Journeyman's Certificate in a carpentry or electrical trade.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

SALARY: $23.72 per hour, based on 40 hours per week
