Job Description

Duties:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor food supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Skills:
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety
- Meal preparation: Ability to prepare ingredients, measure portions, and assemble dishes according to recipes
- Cooking: Proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, saut̩ing, baking, etc.
- Food preparation: Skill in prepping ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating
- Food service: Understanding of customer service principles in a food service setting
- Kitchen: Familiarity with kitchen equipment, utensils, and tools used in cooking

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $25,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)
  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
