Role Summary
Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper will ensure cleanliness of all villa’s rental properties. Based out of The Gables in Stanley Bridge, this role will clean, respond to customer requests and work as a team to ensure quality room standards.
What You’ll Do
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities in villa suites and homes such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Ensure all units are cared for and inspected according to standards.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any deficiencies to management.
- Notify management on any damages, deficits, and disturbances in the units.
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace as required.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
- Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per vacation rental procedures to ensure excellent quality and service.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects.
- Adhere and support all safety requirements and quality standards set forth in the PEI Occupational Health and Safety General Regulations, PEI Occupational Health and Safety Act and Island Coastal’s Safety Management System.
- Use your experience to identify health and safety deficiencies and support Management in implementing solutions OR report to Management when required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- 1+ year housekeeping or customer service experience considered an asset.
- Positive, self-motivated, and honest with a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to move, lift, pull, push, and carry up to 25 lbs without assistance.
- Comfortable reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending twisting, pulling, and stooping while standing for an extended period.
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Valid drivers license and own transportation.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Salary: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
