Vibrant Life Meals is the #1 meal prep service in Greater Moncton officially founded in 2022.

Vibrant Life Meals' mission is to help the community make healthy, clean eating easy and convenient.

They have been serving customers for over 4 years and were officially incorporated in Dec 2022 with a strong customer base and reputation in the health and wellness community with meals available at top health & wellness businesses in Moncton (Wellness Exchange, Sequoia, USVA Spa & more)

The vision is for Vibrant Life to become a personal growth engine for their team members and clients so they can inspire people to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

About the Role

Vibrant Life is seeking a down to earth, ambitious and responsible head chef to partner with them and put their cooking and management skills to the test.

The ideal candidate is honest, reliable and desires an opportunity to contribute their ideas, experience and problem solving and management skills to a growing business.

They are interested in creating and perfecting recipes in collaboration with the owners and they thrive in a fast growing environment and can learn quickly.

They would also need to be comfortable with scaling recipes for batch cooking and managing food cost.

Last but not least, they want more from their work.

They want to feel a sense of independence in their role and have a positive impact in the community by providing nourishing, tasty and quality meals that help people improve their overall wellbeing.

About the Team

Founders, Alex & Venesa, have both been in the health and wellness space for over 6 years.

Venesa has been creating and cooking healthy meals for clients for over 4 years and worked as a wellness consultant prior to starting Vibrant Life Meals.

Alex has been an executive lifestyle coach, successfully helping clients make positive lifestyle changes through mindset coaching and evidence based mindfulness. He also has a strong background in business leadership and general nutrition, health and wellness.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food during our production days
  • Create, develop & document recipes that align with the businesses' concept and target audience in collaboration with the owners
  • Help with making cost effective recipes (manage food cost, contribute ideas)
  • Help with improving kitchen processes and operations in collaboration with the owners
  • Estimate food and labor requirements
  • Plan menu changes and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in accordance to health code standards
  • Communicate any challenges and areas of improvement
  • Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Train and supervise new team members, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality food production

Skills & Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the kitchen, preferably in a leadership role (2+ years )
  • Experience creating recipes
  • Experience with or knowledge of batch cooking & scaling recipes
  • Strong knowledge of food service industry practices
  • Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys working in the kitchen
  • Works well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels
  • Comfortable working with Google sheets, documents and communication tools.
  • Comfortable with making decisions and taking responsibility

  • Food Safety Certification
