Responsibilities:

- Install various types of flooring materials, including tile, carpet, and laminate

- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas

- Prepare subfloors by removing old flooring, leveling surfaces, and applying adhesives or underlayment

- Lay out flooring according to blueprints or design plans

- Install baseboards and trim around the edges of the flooring

- Ensure proper alignment and spacing of flooring materials

- Apply caulk or sealant to fill gaps and prevent moisture penetration

- Use hand tools and power tools to complete installation tasks

- Clean up work area and dispose of waste materials properly

Skills:

- Proficiency in tile laying, including cutting and setting tiles

- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and installation techniques

- Experience with caulking and sealing techniques

- Ability to use various hand tools and power tools effectively

- Strong carpentry skills for building or repairing subfloors as needed

- Attention to detail and ability to follow blueprints or design plans accurately

- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting installation issues

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Previous experience as a maintenance person or in flooring installation is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

Experience:

• flooring installation: 1 year (required)
• tile setting: 1 year (required)

Work Location: In person
