The Okanagan Métis & Aboriginal Housing Society is looking for a Financial Controller for a contract position. This is a vital role within our society and is a valued member of our small team! The 'ideal candidate' will have the following qualities: - Mid-level exp. with Lotus 123 - Proficient in QuickBooks - Good attention to detail, time management & problem solving - Ability to work independently & with the team (Could be great for a semi-retired accountant) * MUST HAVE - Minimum Accounting Diploma (2yrs) - 5 yrs progressive responsible accounting experience Main Responsibilities: - Managing payable/ receivable accounts - Accurate payment of invoices - Complete bank reconciliations/ deposits - Produce financial statements and monthly financial analysis recommendations to management for decision-making purposes. - Budgeting and year end / audit assistance - Payroll and managing employee records as per society 's obligations. OMAHS provides you with your own office space within a welcoming environment. Contract hours are between 30 - 40hrs PER MONTH.
