Risk Management Associate - Claims

The Role

We are in search of a Risk Management Associate to join our existing Risk and Insurance team in Saint John, NB. This role will report to the VP of Risk and Insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all claims related activities
  • Review first and third-party claims for eligibility, irregularities, accuracy and completeness, requesting additional information as necessary
  • Prepare proper documentation to file a claim and process it in the system
  • Verify insurance coverage, assist with claim settlement and handle paperwork related to claim settlements
  • Ensure accurate and timely reserving of claims
  • Maintain updated records and prepare required reports
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including domestic and international claim support
  • Support non-claims related activities of the Risk Management department

Skills And Experience Required

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a detail-oriented approach to analysis.
  • Excellent time management capabilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
