Job Description
Our Charlottetown Office has an immediate opening for a File Opening Coordinator. This position is permanent full time.
Summary of responsibilities - Assist in identifying possible conflicts by conducting thorough conflict checks;
- Revise and sends out New Case Report;
- File management, applies any necessary changes and updates spreadsheet;
- Open client files once conflict search is complete;
- Assist with overflow when required and ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures;
- All tasks must be performed with a high degree of detail and accuracy; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications - Excellent proficiency in English, verbal and written communication;
- 1-2 years of experience working in a professional office environment;
- Office Administration, Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is an asset;
- Above average proficiency in Microsoft applications and typing skills;
- Excellent proofreading, spelling and grammar skills;
- Attention to detail is a must as well as strong organization and time management skills;
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet tight deadlines, as well as multi-task as needed; and
- Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience.
