Salary $51,138.86 to $63,922.82 annually (pro-rated for term of employment and depending on qualifications and experience)
Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Employment for Non-Union Employees - Managerial (AVRCE)
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for providing executive level administrative support and office management for the Director of Human Resources and the Human Resources Department (which includes Employee and Labour Relations, Employee Benefits and Occupational Health and Safety). The Executive Assistant establishes priorities, supervises and evaluates administrative support staff; assists with the collection and manipulation of data required for staffing allocation, including enrollments, projected enrollments and class sizes; monitors and oversees the Department budget; and provides administrative and data support for negotiations and administrative staffing.
Specifically, This Position Has The Following Preferred Requirements
- Post-secondary training in office administration or a related field.
- Superior secretarial skills including accuracy and effective proof reading.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage an office and supervise staff.
- Knowledge of the Human Resources SAP System, Aesop and SuccessFactors is preferred.
- A high level of proficiency with computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, presentation software, and internet.
- An advanced understanding of the issues of confidentiality while assisting with the provisions of information to staff.
- Ability to multi-task while prioritizing work with many competing priorities.
- Ability to provide administrative support for the negotiation of collective agreements.
- Ability to administer the Human Resources budget including projections and expenditures.
- Ability to recruit and assist with the selection process including interviews, skills assessments, job shadows, and references.
- Experience in the planning and organizing of functions, meetings, job fairs and in-services.
- Excellent file management skills.
