This is dietary work dealing with food preparation and service.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent;
- Able to follow oral and written instructions;
- Neat and clean appearance;
- Must be physically able to perform all assigned duties and functions;
- Experience in preparation and delivery of Food Services in a Nursing Home settings or food establishment;
- Experience in cooking/preparation of food in bulk;
- Bilingualism;
- Must be bondable;
- Good previous work record;
- Good interpersonal skills, communication, courteous and respectful; good character, attitude, cooperation, comprehension.
Skills:
- Responsible for food ordering and stock;
- Responsible to follow menu (specialized diets);
- Able to follow recipes, work independently with minimal supervision;
- Cooking/preparation of menu items as required for clients;
- Production and delivery of food service to residents;
- Responsible for time and delivery of meals;
- Perform all tasks associated with dishwashing and all other related duties;
- Prepare and deliver trays;
- Follow all Food Safety and Sanitation Procedures;
- Able to complete tasks involved in cleaning and maintenance of work areas;
- Assist in orientation of new personnel;
- Participate in preparation and delivery of catering functions; when necessary;
