Summary

The Automotive Parts Counter Representative is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service. They take orders over the phone and in person, as well as proactively assists customers browsing in the store.

Job Duties

The MAJOR TASKS are listed below, but the incumbent may be assigned to other duties.

• Providing parts support to service department and technicians.

• Assist service technicians with selecting parts needed for repairs in process

• Maintain a high level of customer service.

• Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures.

• Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge (training provided).

• Answer parts incoming phone line, as needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to provide and maintain a valid NB drivers license, cleared drivers abstract and criminal background check.

• Previous experience in a similar position or in the automotive industry preferred.

• Computer literate using basic programs such as Windows and Outlook.

• Must be physically able to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor for an 8-hour shift.

• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

• Self-motivated.

• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

• High level of integrity and work ethic.

• Must wear PPE and follow safety standards

Work Conditions

• Must maintain all required Operational Health & Safety certifications and must ensure a safe workplace.

• • Must be able to lift to 50lbs, twist, turn, bend and stand for long periods of time without restriction

• Busy Shop environment

• Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.

• Noise level is generally loud.

• Hazards associated with the industry.

• Must wear PPE and follow safety standards at all times
