Butcher - retail or wholesale
Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a skilled Butcher for our retail or wholesale meat department. The ideal candidate will be trained in a variety of cutting techniques and should be able to provide exceptional customer service.
Job Duties
- Prepare and portion meat products according to customer specifications.
- Remove bones from meat
- Weigh meats for sale
- Cut poultry into parts
- Sell meats to customers
- Cut fish into steaks and fillets
- Grind meats
- Train meat cutters
- Make special sausages
- Slice cooked meats
- Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products
- Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
