About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager and Assistant Managers of Health Information, the Booking Clerk schedules appointments for Radiology, Clinics, etc., as well as other applicable departments as they become part of the Central Scheduling process.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Successful completion of Grade XII or equivalent required
- Graduate of a post-secondary secretarial or office administration program or equivalent experience required
- Successful completion of a recognized Medical Terminology course is required
- 1-2 years previous demonstrated experience with a computerized booking system is considered an asset
- Related hospital exposure in an applicable setting is considered an asset
- Proficiency in computer applications for Microsoft (Office Word & Excel) Outlook, Explorer, as well as Meditech computer training and experience is an asset
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, must be an effective team player
- Ability to work independently and/or with others
- Ability to work under pressure with time limitations
- Understands the importance of accuracy
- Current WHMIS certification required
- Recent NVCI training / certification considered an asset
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

- Casual relief hours, Monday to Friday
Compensation and Incentives
$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly
