About The Opportunity
The Administrative Assistant will report to the Resident Care Manager and will perform a variety of secretarial, administrative and co-ordination duties including, but not limited to:
- providing administrative and clerical support
- patient registration
- managing patient funds
- data entry on NSHiS
- maintaining workload and statistical data
- general secretarial duties (processing mail, composing routine correspondence, typing, transcribing dictation, filing, maintaining mail lists, faxing, collating, photocopying and answering the telephone)
- recording/maintaining meeting minutes
- ordering, receiving, maintaining direct order purchasing and inventory
- other job related duties
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12
- Graduate of a Medical Secretarial program (two years)
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a medical environment
- Typing speed of 55 w.p.m.
- Proficiency with a variety of office software including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and SAP systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high degree of tact, judgment and confidentially
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Demonstrated initiative, ability to set deadlines without sacrificing work standards
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent, Full-Time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives
$21.58 - $26.98 Hourly
